Forbes magazine claimed that 97% of new business fails within the first 5 years why is that?? There are few reasons for this high rate but the under lying reason that affect most, if not all of them, is the lack of knowledge in running a successful business and the lack of continuous training and practicing.

The internet is full of business opportunity and how many people just simply jump’s in without knowing much about the business or industry they are getting into and they thing they will succeed.

After investing time and money their business is not growing and they are losing money and they bail out before it is too late.
Many of these entrepreneurs are smart and hard workers but they lack the training the athlete gets and they lack the practicing they need.
As an entrepreneur or business owner very few of us think of practicing or learning new techniques because it is not something that is commonly done in standard industries.
In many industries the way to do business hasn’t really change so the need for practicing or learning new techniques is not a necessity. However how many times you see an old company go out of business after so many years? If you look back the owner probably never stay current with his game and a new kid on the block took his market away with new marketing or service ideas.

Having said that there is one industry which is constantly on the move and if you sit still you are left behind and you are in the past: the business is the internet.

Just take a look at a few online classified sites, the business section it is full of internet business opportunities and people just thing they can sign up and make it big sadly very few succeed.
Some of the claims made by these sites that you can make thousands of dollars a day are in part true what they leave out is the fact that the people making those high income have been at it for years and they have mentors that keep them in the loops with all new techniques and they are constantly evolving, some actually have a team of people working for them and finding new ways to do things to stay on top of their game

If you do not want to be a statistic I would strongly suggest that you find a site that will teach you how to do business on the internet before you do anything else. Any money you invest in teaching yourself is never wasted and will benefit you in the long run.
There are also sites that will not only teach you and train you and will let you come back and learn new technique has they are uncovered but they will keep you current with the industry.

Nerver too old to learn new tricks

Hi! My name is Pierre from Ontario Canada

Early this spring (2009) I was laid off from my job due to the recession. So there I was at age 61 with a mortgage, car payment, credit card bills plus a monthly medication bill of $400 following my heart surgery and my diabetic condition
