SAFELIST what a waste of time these are
For the newbies safelists are email addresses you are allowed to send emails to without being accuse of spamming.
To access those lists you have to become a member of one of the sites that maintains such a list. Like all other websites you can join for free or you can pay for better features, in doing so your email address is added to their data base and you are part of their safelist.
By becoming a member you can send every member an email as often as you want depending on the level of membership you signed up for. One particular site I am member of has well over 35,000 members so I have the possibility of sending one email to 35,000 people. On the other hand I could technically receive 35,000 emails one from each member. I said technically in reality I will not because of the rules you need to follow before you can send an email, this is controlled by credits, which I will explain later
I know what your thinking WOW!!! I could sale hundreds of my widgets… not quite that fast cowboy… here is why.
99.9% of the members are internet marketer just like yourself who are trying to sale their widgets, the members are more interested in selling you their merchandise then they are interested in yours.
99.9% of those items are exactly that widget or gimmicks not worth the time to look at, Try to find a valid offer when you receive hundreds of email everyday it is like looking for a needle in a hay stack. The site I mentioned above sends me between 300 to 400 emails every day so if you sign up to more then one site you are looking at thousands of email per day, You have the time to sift through that many emails to find the few one valid offers… not me.
Earlier I mentioned credits, in order to have a handle on the numbers of emails that are sent out these sites allows you to send emails based on the number of credits you have in your account. If you want to send an email to 5,000 members you need 5,000 credits usually.
The way to gets credits is to buy some every month (membership!!!) or you have to click on some of the emails you received and look at their offers and get credits for doing that. The number of credits vary per ad, one could give you 50 credit and another 1,000, so if you keep on clicking ads that only gives you 50 credit you are going to look at 100 ads to get your 5,000 credits, each ads will take you ½ minutes or so, you are looking at almost one hour of your time scanning ads to gets credits…waste of time would you agree.
As mentioned earlier if you pay you get different features and like anything else the more you pay the better service you will get. If you sign up to the top level you will be allowed to send more emails then the free member and you get more free credits every month. Some membership allows you to send a limited number of emails that are identified to the members as special and those normally offer more credit if you look at them. Some offer auto-releasing of ads so you do not have to go in every week and set up and ad to be sent.
Another annoying thing about safelist they are not targeted emails, your ads is randomly sent to the specific number of emails you have asked for, many time I received my own ads because the site picked my email address.
If you plan on using safelist you should monitor their effectiveness to ensure that you are getting your money’s worth. If it is costing you $25 per month to be a member and you do not make any sales month after month you are wasting money and your time in deleting all of those emails. If you are a free member that is fine but many sites have a limited time on how long you can stay a free member.
If you want your ads to sales it better be sharp otherwise it gets lost among all the other hundreds ads each member gets.
I do not use safelist hopping to make big sales but mainly to get exposure and to get ideas on how to market my own, I do not pay to be a member there are over 2,000 sites offering safelist most if not all offer free sign up.

97% of home based business will fail
That is shocking to say the least but true unfortunately
There are a few factors causing those failures but there are two main reasons why:
First the people signing up for a home based business do not know what they are doing. They have no idea what is involved with running an internet business. They have the preconceived idea they just have to sign up to the system they read about and follow the instructions and money will start coming in.
Most people will do a search on the internet for a business opportunity and the first site that comes up on the first page they will click on it and in most case if the ad is well written they will bite. If they did not like that ad some will look at the second and maybe the third or the fourth one in most cases one of them will interest them and they are hooked. They are so exited that they found the opportunity they were looking for they do not hesitate to spend the few hundreds of dollars that are required to join and once they have joined they find out they now have to spend more bucks to get more features to make more money and reality start settling in they are spending more money then they are making… that is the beginning of the end.
The problem is that most people think of themselves as entrepreneur yet they are not thinking like one. To build a successful business it will require time efforts and money. There are no real business in this world that is free to set up and will make you thousands of dollars, this is the first step to failure.
The second reason is the ads are totally miss-leading, the consumer is lead into thinking it is like a walk in the park to set up and run an online business anyone can do this it is so easily… wrong.
Plus the money they claim you can make in a home based business is inaccurate at best and in some cases totally fabricated.
None of the ads tells you that hundred or thousands of dollars have been spent to realize these 5 figures incomes plus none of them tells you that the individuals that have made or making those income have been at it for years and they have thousands of down line members below them generating those sales.
Here is another fact you are not told when you sign up:
You need to be informed and be able to use all of the following:
Search engine ranking
SEO(search engine optimizing)
Ad word advertising
Pay per click
Banner advertising
Article writing
Press release
Auto responder
Safelist mailer
Social media advertising
Video production
You do not have to be an expert at every one of those but you need an understanding of how each one works so you can evaluate how you can use these functions to generate revenue.
Keep in mind that the top income earners are expert at many of those functions and the ones they are not good at they have people doing it for them.
Internet advertising can be very expensive because it is very competitive so if you are going to compete with the big boys it is going to cost you… no ads will tell you that.
I’ll give you an example how expensive it can be: you bid $1.00 for a keyword in Google, this is relatively a cheap word in a highly completive market, some words can cost in excess of $5.00, so1000 people key in that word in the search box and your site comes up in #1 position, you just spent $1,000 in advertising. Some key words get thousands of clicks per hour, do the math. The click through rate is about 3% to 5% so if you get a 3% rate 30 people may click on your link and if your lucky and 10% buy you made 3 sales. If you make $350 per sale you break even. You still have not made any money. Just imagine if you are selling an item and you only make $50 you are loosing money. That is when people realize it is not as simple as they had read or anticipated and get discouraged and quit.
If you want to succeed in an internet business you have to pick your battles and this is why you need to understand all the tools that are available to you and how much each will cost you to take advantage of them.
